Even at five years old, I was drawn to baking. I persuaded my mom to take me to the afternoon kindergarten session so I could watch Graham Kerr on “The Galloping Gourmet.” With this lifetime passion, I created Simply Home Goods to bring hand-crafted artistry to entertaining along with the comforts and flavors of home.

I find beauty in nature and the items around me like the shape of flowers, the simplicity of a bow beautifully tied, the perfect lines of a box or the flow of a pattern. I am inspired by architecture and fashion as well — influences that all lend themselves perfectly to cake design. My cakes are often collaborative projects with clients that infuse their events with a creative spirit. As their sweets coordinator, I always love finding the perfect balance of beauty and flavor — and when called for — whimsy to complement my clients’ events.
